Indoor Go Karting
Kartbahn Racing is Atlantic Canada’s premier Indoor Karting and Mission Based Laser Tag d Karting sessions are 8-minutes timed and take 10-12 minutes to run. That means usually 15-20 laps for the average driver. These karts represent the next generation in the world of electric karting offering drivers a true racing experience. Equipped with 190 AMP DC motors, these karts will reach speeds of up to 50kph! To compensate for the speed, they are all equipped with hydraulic brakes, LED brake lights and remote-operated speed control switches. They promote safe and fast driving in a controlled environment. It’s a full body adrenaline rush from start to finish.

Winter Skating
It's always great to get outside and enjoy ice skating and even more so with so many happy people enjoying, laughing and being in the community. At the Emera Oval you can rent skates an easily get onto the ice. The Emera Oval is great for families and also offers rollerblading in summer. There are several staff, some skating around and others near the entrance. Staking at the Oval is a great way to spend a summer or winner afternoon.

Special Places
Black Rock Beach
Located in Point Pleasant Park, Black Rock Beach is more than just a spot to swim on a warm summer day. Black Rock is said to be haunted by Patrick Tulligan, a young man who was falsely accused of pirating and hung at the beach many years ago. The park is home to Shakespeare by the Sea, a theatre company who performs plays by the water during summer months. The beach is ideal for scuba diving because of the breakwater from the nearby Halifax Pier and eelgrass beds. The park has lifeguards, parking and public washrooms.

Halifax Public Gardens
The gardens are located in the Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia on the Halifax Peninsula near the popular shopping district of Spring Garden Road and opposite Victoria Park. The Halifax Public Gardens is the oldest Victorian Garden in North America. Officially opened in 1867, the year of Canadian Confederation. The Public Gardens have retained the original Victorian character and are open annually from approximately May 1 until November 1.

Halifax Citadel National Historic Site
Located on Sackville st., this historic site has a commanding view of Halifax Harbour and the waterfront so you can't really miss visiting. Founded in 1749, this star-shaped hilltop fort gives visitors the opportunity to explore the history of the fortress and the soldiers who were stationed there, walk within its walls – both inside and out –, and literally touch a piece of Halifax's military history.

Although there are many types of meditation, they practice mindfulness meditation in their sessions and workshops. The practice is about noticing what is happening in the present moment, without judgment. The goal of mindfulness meditation is not to stop thoughts, rather encourage ourselves to be present, more compassionate and understanding.

The Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame is a not-for-profit organization and registered charity, providing a free museum, free education programming and a collection that is fully accessible online. We also oversee a nominations process to carefully and fairly select new inductees annually.

Sea Turtle Centre
The Sea Turtle Centre is an interactive museum. It may be small, but they packed an ocean of discovery into a tiny place. During your visit you’ll learn about endangered sea turtles, see specimens and artifacts, and find out what marine biologists at the cutting edge of sea turtle research are working on right now. If you have questions, their knowledgeable staff and volunteers are always happy to talk turtles.
